Dr. Samuel Blanton

Dr. Samuel Blanton has dedicated his life to serving the Rutherford County community through dentistry for over 40 years. Raised in Forest City, NC, Dr. Blanton graduated from East Rutherford High School before attending Clemson University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree.

Dr. Blanton received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 1981. After graduation, he began his career teaching general dentistry at UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry for one year. In June 1982, he joined Dr. William McBrayer’s general dentistry practice in Rutherfordton, NC, as an associate and soon made Rutherford County his permanent home.

While Dr. Blanton is no longer providing restorative dentistry, he continues to be an important part of our practice and our patients’ care. He is the familiar and friendly face who checks on patients during their hygiene appointments, making sure they receive the quality care they deserve while keeping our team and patients smiling.

Dr. Blanton is a member of the NC Dental Society and American Dental Association. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time outdoors, especially making memories with his grandson through fishing, exploring nature, and enjoying the simple moments together.

Throughout his career, Dr. Blanton has been recognized by the community as our “Best Dentist” in Rutherford County multiple times. His dedication, kindness, and commitment to his patients have made him a valued part of the community for more than four decades.
